40 Years of Creation
40 Years of Creation | תערוכת 40 שנות עשיה
An exhibition celebrating 40 years of Kimmel Eshkolot Architects and the receipt of the Landau Prize for Arts and Sciences, awarded for the first time in the field of architecture. Set across three floors of the Start-Up Nation Central building in Tel Aviv, the exhibition comprised three parts: 40 significant projects by the office; unbuilt proposals from design competitions over the years; and questions about the future of architecture, the Middle East, and our cities.
The main section, presenting 40 projects by Kimmel Eshkolot, included works that have had a strong impact on the public and urban realm, such as the Mount Herzl Memorial, the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, the Davidson Center, and the Tower of David Museum.
Grouped in a non-chronological order, the exhibition offered an opportunity to reflect on the office’s architectural production through different scales and typologies. Ranging from interior design to buildings and urban design, the ability to work simultaneously across multiple scales was highlighted as a core part of the office’s DNA. Presenting projects from different times and geographies side by side allowed for fresh perspectives on the work.
The exhibition had great success and we thank all the visitors.
The exhibition was supported by Kostika Group, T-Metal, Ackerstein Group, Eyal Sarig, Kne Kash, Habitat Israel, Green Construction IL, Indan Planning Systems, and JTLV Investments.
