The design creates high-quality apartments, as well as spacious communal areas which will be the centre of activity in the building. These areas aim to encourage students to step out of their private apartments for both study and leisure and meet one another. Located on the Northwest side of the building, the communal areas benefit from an open view of Weizmann Institute.
They climb through this 16-story building, incorporating vegetation, to create a green bubble of co-working, studying, and meeting. While the residential units share a similar layout, the communal spaces are grouped vertically and differ from one another. Each group of spaces is unique in its design, character, and program, encouraging students to wander around the building according to their needs and to their moods.
The retail and offices are located on the plinth, on top of which are spaces for the student tenants: library, large ‘MasterChef area for cooking, meeting spaces, music room, and screening room. These are located on top of the plinth, sharing its large rooftop. The student club and laundry room are located on the top level, which has a large roof terrace.
