The new Shanti House for runaway or homeless youth at risk

Completed in 2018

Shanti House accepts youth from dysfunctional homes from all parts of society and may serve as both a temporary refuge and a long-term home. The house is designed to accommodate up to 50 residents at the same time and includes bedrooms and living rooms, treatment rooms and activity spaces, as well as operational and administrative areas.
At the centre of the organization’s therapeutic model is the home – with a family atmosphere (in contrast to the institutional atmosphere). According to the organization, there is a direct connection between the sense of home to its physical space, and the youth’s willingness to choose life and be rehabilitated.
According to Shanti House’s perception of colour, the palette of the house is very rich, varied and warm.
